Why Reconnect? Connection is one of our greatest needs and desires as social animals—to progress and prosper, we need to feel acceptance, inclusion, fulfillment, and emotional safety.
Reconnect with Yourself
“We need time to defuse, to contemplate. Just as in sleep our brains relax and give us dreams, so at some time in the day we need to disconnect, reconnect, and look around us.”
—Laurie Colwin
Reconnect with who you truly are and what you really want, rather than letting the outside world determine it for you. Reconnect with your purpose and your passion to confirm if your actions are helping you to achieve it.
Reconnect to what makes you happy and brings you Joy. Is there is something that used to make you happy which you may have stopped doing; if so, do it again. Seek to find deeper meaning and significance rather than living on the surface, skimming along.
Reconnect with Others
Reconnect with the ones you love by being authentic, being vulnerable, healing hurts, communicating well, and nurturing your relationships. Remember to laugh and have fun. And reconnect with old friends whom you miss, but never see. Reconnect with the special people in your life with whom you have shared some of the best times in your life. Feel the joy!
It is no wonder that Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media platforms are so successful, considering the world’s driving need to feel connected with others.
Whether it is to celebrate the good times or offer a shoulder to lean on in the bad times, your relationships are essential for happiness and well-being. Connecting with others gives you a sense of inclusion, connection, interaction, safety, and community. Your vibe attracts your tribe, and so if you want to attract positive and healthy relationships, be one who promotes getting together! Staying connected and getting reconnected feeds the flow of goodness which empowers our humanity.
Reconnect to Source
“If you look to your past or even your present to see why you are here or what your purpose is, you may get stuck in a limited view of yourself. Instead, look beyond your years here on earth, reconnect with the divine, and bring forth your soul’s legacy into the present moment.”
— Debbie Ford
Take time to commune with your highest and best understanding of God. Within you, there is a Knowing that you can access at all times. To do so, you must be quiet and still. Go into the silence. Tap into the Source from which all things come, beyond self, beyond time. Surrender into it. Let go. Allow. Be. Each time you reconnect with what many call “Universal Love,” others call God, you will emerge renewed.
