Why Replace? Something is broken beyond restoration or repair. The original purpose it served still has value, so it is swapped out with something updated and effective.
“Out with the old and in with the new.” There will be times in your life when things simply have to be replaced because they are tired, broken, worn out, harmful, outdated, or irrelevant. Take an inventory of the things which no longer serve your best and highest good so you can replace them with things which do.
Whether it is a belief, a relationship, a wardrobe, a habit, a job, a behavior, or an attitude, finding a better alternative will make the changes in your life sustainable and create more positive outcomes.
When you want to get rid of a bad habit, replace it with a good one. Many of us love our morning cup of java although it can be an unhealthy addiction. When the caffeine buzz wears off, we might crash and feel terrible.
To help break the cycle, choose to replace coffee with a delicious tea—of which there are many varieties to choose. New rituals can make coffee become irrelevant, and create a permanent, healthy change. Try hot apple cider, a probiotic drink, a smoothie, fruit juice or coconut water—all satisfy, but avoid the caffeine buzz.
Any time you remove something from your life, a hole is left behind. Rather than let the old seep back in, choose something better to REPLACE it.
