Why Reflect? To better know your true self; desires; goals.

Moments of valuable personal reflection occur as you choose to spend time in calm deliberation and careful thought. Einstein was known for proclaiming, that when he could not find the solution to a problem, he would lie down and take a nap. This is a habit that too few of us savor in our busy, competitive culture. We should take a lesson from Einstein, because he knew the importance of resting his mind and body. After doing so, when he woke, he would have the answer.

Imagine the thoughts and inspiration—and greater insight and understanding of yourself—which can and will come to you, if you simply allow the excellent thoughts in your mind, the quiet space in which to be heard. To reflect is a welcome opportunity!

By giving intentional consideration, to reflect upon any type of situation, you will gain clarity which you may not have achieved otherwise. It is during these quiet moments of expecting thoughts to flow and answers to surface, that you can discover the right answers to questions, and calm any confusion you may have about your life.

When I am feeling stress or overwhelm, chaos clutters my mind, blocking the flow of creativity and joy. If I choose to simply pause, breathe and reflect, my world moves slower and at a more peaceful pace. It is in this calm reflection where I receive some of my best ideas and inspirations.

4 Ways to Make Reflection a Daily Habit:

1. Make the time, space, and place to capture a quiet moment and be still without distraction.
2. Candidly reflect about your life—thoughts, feelings, ideas, experiences, and decisions.
3. Think, analyze, evaluate, and contemplate.
4. Let your imagination run free. Just be.

Taking time to reflect reveals solutions to problems, offers fresh ideas for innovation, and inspires your creativity. Begin reflecting on a daily basis to enrich your life, which will open up new possibilities in your world.

“Self-reflection is a humbling process. It’s essential to find out why you think, say, and do certain things…then better yourself.”
—Sonia Teclai
